52, divorced. Got a couple of degrees under my belt, one of them properly British (so I can whinge about the weather with full authority). Bit of a generalist. Two daughters: eldest is properly grown-up and independent, youngest still in the awkward “not quite yet” phase. Lived in various countries, feel equally at home in Russian- or English-speaking company, but Russia still pulls at me the strongest. What I’m after? Coming home should feel like the best part of the day. Want the stuff I know and do to actually matter to someone. Want to drown (happily) in a pair of contented eyes. Want to be able to be myself without stopping her from being herself — and those eyes stay happy. Want us to be able to face any mess life chucks at us, sort it together, and stick around for the long haul.
